A’amatie (Elaeocarpus ulianus) is a member of the Elaeocarpaceae family. It is considered a native ornamental tree that is medium in size; narrow, densely foliated crown that provides good shade; ovate leaf blades; petioles swollen at both ends; toothed leaf margins; flower is delicate, less than one inch across, white, and in the shape of a small, downward hanging bell with a fringed edge; with a large ellipsoid drupe containing a jagged-edged seed. A’amatie is occasional in lowland to cloud forest, and inhabits an elevation between 30 to 1300 m. The fruits are eaten by pigeons. The unusual, jagged-edged seeds are sometimes (probably rarely) used to make necklaces.

The holm oak known in Maltese as is-siġra tal-ballut, is native of the Mediterranean region. It is thought that in the past, huge areas of the Maltese islands were covered by evergreen forests characterised by holm oaks. However, this habitat was virtually exterminated following colonisation by man and the grazing effect of introduced sheep and goats.

Every substance in the universe has a certain reverberation to it. We try to identify things that will support us in a particular direction. Not only rudraksha – all kinds of plants, flowers, animals – everything has been identified as to what will take us in a spiritual direction and what will not.
Rudraksha has this quality too –

Letter to Self Rrealization Fellowship
Introduction: time ago I sent many emails to various healing-spiritual-yoga-conscious communities, inviting them to receive collected by us Rudrakshas, as a gift from Shiva. However we didn't get any reply, this act had some post-effects: recently we received the letter from "Self Realization Fellowship" - real one, from paper in envelope - inviting us to the meeting and course in February. At that time I holds on position, that it should be mostly egoistic persons in such kinds of "self-realized" communities, - that's why no one replied me (formally, playing my lila, I still can't see any other reason - people are egoists, starting from myself). However there are always some rare exceptions, who always keeping the spirit alive, encourage others - my salutations to Paramahansa Yogananda, his guru, and golden line before, and our latest benefactor, who gave to Kris green string from Lama (on a picture below this picture). Whose are for whom I dedicating my next humble efforts: to try to inform sincere followers about such a blessing chance, given us by act of Cosmic Will - Rudra, for common benefit of Being (reminder: without this intro).
